3rd place in International Hustle and Salsa Open-- Professional division | | | About me | 2006 International Salsa Champion Eulanda Shead, is a classically trained dancer who has studied dance at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Cleo Parker Robinson, and throughout the U.K. She specializes in fusing classical, folkloric and contemporary dance forms within the African Diaspora. She has extensively studied West African, Afro-Brazilian, Afro-Haitian, Afro-Cuban Rumba, Flamenco, Modern, Jazz, Salsa, Tango, Ballroom, Hip-hop, Dunham, House, and Ballet; which are all a part of the foundation for her unique blend of Salsa.
Ms. Shead has taught and performed throughout the U.S. and U.K., including New York, Wales, and England. She has had the honor of being a guest instructor for the Latin Ballroom Society at Leicester University, University of Wyoming, and Colorado State University. Her choreography has been nominated for top awards at the American College Dance Festival, Hotlanta Salsa Congress, Colorado Salsa Open, Hawaiian International Dance Festival, and the International Hustle and Salsa Festival. In April 2007, Ms. Shead will travel to Delhi, India to teach Afro-Cuban Salsa at the Salsa India Festival. | |
